Trump is sicking his DHS Wolf PACT upon cities governed by his political opponents. I believe it, but I wish it weren't true. The lack of accountability this police force has to local communities is precisely backwards to a result that could be expected to correct the injustices of modern policing. Police need to be more accountable to their communities, if there are going to be police at all. Instead, Trump's response has been to form a paramilitary force, dressed in camoflauge akin to our nation's military, to ensure domestic tranquility as he defines it. The refusal of the Republicans to be honest with themselves about the nature of this threat is an act of sheer politically charged, willful blindness. Trump is their man. He does little wrong. He would never act in a way inconsistent with being an American. But he is creating the very creature most likely to wield the power to rob them of their most prized freedoms. This is my diary. I'm hoping it will help me live in a liberated way where I have nothing to hide.
